A ceremony for the presentation of credentials to the Head of State by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of eight countries was held at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
Credentials were presented by Ambassador of Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shehata, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation Christine Honegger Zolotukhin, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia Marje Luup, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Salah Jaboob, Ambassador of Hungary Ferenc Czombos, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Braima Embalo, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Joseph Olusola Iji, and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Lars Thuesen.
In his welcoming remarks, the President emphasized our country’s commitment to a peaceful foreign policy course.
“It is a very important event today for you as representatives of your appropriate countries, and for us, the Republic of Kazakhstan. I believe that we should be working together because Kazakhstan is a peaceful country. We carry out a balanced, constructive, peaceful foreign policy. Our aim is to create favorable conditions for pursuing reforms inside the country. I would like to assure you that the doors of the Foreign Ministry, as well as of appropriate governmental agencies, including my doors in the Presidential Palace, will be always open for you, because we need to stay together in this very much tumultuous and turbulent world”, said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
