President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Kim Dong-won, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group.
The meeting focused on promising areas of Kazakhstan - Korea investment and technological cooperation.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan highly values its strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea. He noted that Kazakhstan regards Hanwha Group as one of Korea’s leading business groups, with a strong international presence across a number of strategically important sectors.
The Head of State outlined Kazakhstan’s large-scale efforts to build a national artificial intelligence ecosystem and develop digital infrastructure. President Tokayev invited Hanwha Group to implement joint projects, leveraging Kazakhstan as a technological platform for expanding into the markets of Central Asia.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to further deepen its partnership with Hanwha Group and expressed confidence that the agreements reached would translate into concrete, mutually beneficial projects.
For his part, Kim Dong-won noted that Hanwha Group was among the first Korean corporations to establish cooperation with Kazakhstan back in 1997. He said he was very enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to Kazakhstan’s digital transformation and implement various projects in partnership with the country.
