The President of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of Guoyou Materials Industry Group Co., Ltd. discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of port infrastructure.
The Head of State pointed out that Kazakhstan has set an ambitious goal of becoming a fully-fledged Eurasian transport hub. In this context, Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev welcomed the proposal of Guoyou Materials Industry Group to construct multimodal logistics hub at the Kuryk Port on the Caspian Sea. In the first year of the project, it is set to raise the port’s processing capacity to 15 million tonnes.
President Tokayev expressed confidence that the implementation of such a large‑scale project would help develop integrated maritime and rail logistics, increase the throughput capacity of the Middle corridor, and expand Kazakhstan’s export and transit potential.

For his part, Yu Boyan briefed the Kazakh President on the details of the project and shared his vision for the future of freight transportation across the Caspian Sea.
It was also noted that the port hub would deliver long‑term socio‑economic benefits, including job creation, training of workers, and increased demand for Kazakhstani goods and services.
